Solberg Master Plan of 1997
The Solberg Master plan is a published study that shows how the airport plans to expand. This plan was
presented in 1996. The Citizens overwhemingly opposed the plan. The Township Committee passed a resolution
opposing it. The public thought that the issue was resolved. Then in 1999 the NJ DOT sent Readington a letter
stating that the FAA and State DOT had given conditional approval to the Master Plan pending an Environmental
Assessment. To which these organizations funded said study.
